Various Training and Career counselling programs offered

If you are a high achiever, training is an important factor when choosing an employer. Your Accenture education experience begins the first day you walk through the door, and continues throughout your time with us. A recent study shows that Accenture employees receive around 75 hours of training per year - more than 12 million hours of training delivered. Accenture education programmes have been recognised and honoured around the business world, winning prestigious awards.

New Joiner Orientation

Soon after joining Accenture, you will attend our New Joiner Orientation, a world-wide programme that serves as your introduction to Accenture in the United Kingdom, your particular workforce, and our one global network. This programme gives you the knowledge you need to kick-start your Accenture career, whether you are straight out of university or an industry veteran.

One global network… for learning

Accenture’s global learning portal, myLearning, directs our people to over 20,000 online courses, virtual classroom courses, and other learning resources to meet almost any business need. You will be able to choose new courses and you will join colleagues from all over the world, either virtually or live, as you collaborate and learn together. A personalised learning programme will help you succeed at each level of your Accenture career.

And with the support you get from the Knowledge Exchange, Accenture’s knowledge management system, as well as the feedback you get from your supervisors and colleagues, learning will be a part of your career with Accenture.

Career counselling

Whether you’re a graduate or an experienced professional, regular career counselling will help you get the best out of your time at Accenture. Your dedicated career counsellor will sit down with you yearly to check on your progress, establish your goals and find out how best to achieve them. Together, you’ll draft your personal development plan. As the blueprint for your future, your plan will help you decide which projects and skills suit you best and which direction you want to go in the long term.

Mentoring

There’s nothing like being able to speak to someone at work who’s ‘been there and done that’. It’s a great way to turn your understanding from the theoretical into the practical and marketable. Outside of the traditional mentoring relationships, we have also launched an initiative that is specifically aimed at improving the retention of women at Accenture and the opportunities open to them.

Performance management

Performance management is a team effort between you, your project supervisors, career counsellors and reward assessors. We want you to be recognised for your contribution and development, and we use the same assessment tools and techniques around the world to make sure the considerable rewards are shared fairly.

Communication and feedback

In an organisation as big as ours, clear communication is vital. So if something happens at work, such as a change in personnel policy or in business direction, we make sure you know about it straight away. As well as keeping you informed, we also go to great lengths to make sure you can have your say. Our annual Global People Survey is a chance for you to tell us how you feel about everything from training to rewards and general job satisfaction. Plus there’s the Accenture Portal, an internal information site that has an area dedicated to employee feedback and discussion.
