Jose Rizal University (JRU) students, numbering around 200, attended and took part in the launch of the Accenture Education Program (AEP) for the DCN for BPO in the Philippines on June 5, 2009 at the JRU University Auditorium. The students had the privilege of hearing from Accenture’s own company executives as they delivered talks on what Accenture is all about and what the AEP for BPO had in store for them.

The launch marked the start of Accenture’s collaboration with JRU’s “Education towards Guaranteed Employment” or EdGE program, where the academe and its partner companies work together to build a globally competitive Filipino workforce.

The Accenture Education Program includes an intensive on-the-job training, exposure to real-world BPO work, and actual hands-on work experience at an Accenture office location. The program also offers future employment opportunities with Accenture for those who will excel during their internship.
