My first job after high school was in accounting and after a few years of working and traveling to different countries I was very eager to start studying again. I’ve always been interested in computers and technology so when it came to my choice of career, it was natural for med to go into IT. I received a Master of Science, with specialization in systems analysis, at Lund University in Sweden.

I chose Accenture Technology Solutions because of the people! I had met several Accenture people during my studies; they gave me the impression that ATS was a company where I would fit in perfectly—a place where I could learn a lot, be challenged every day, but also have fun!

That all of my expectations were met or exceeded. I work with great people, from whom I learn a lot every day. The tasks I work with vary, which I really like and I feel I can influence my daily work both in the short and the long term. I also like the fact that there is a great focus on work-life balance and social activities with your colleagues. We have the Accenture Club where it's possible to participate in a variety of different activities from running, to skiing or wine tasting.

I work in a team of about ten people, both from Accenture and the client. We are building a web-based application for a big insurance company. Since I started I have been involved in technical design, build and bug fixing of the system. I have been on this project for about a year and I really like that I have had the possibility to stay in the same project and change roles within the project. It has made it possible for me to get a deeper understanding of the client’s business, and at the same time get the variety that I really like.
